A Bit on Francis Hwang's Team Fiction: Ten-Sided #
Yeah, so, Francis has this great project he’s started which plugs a bunch of writers together using the rPlanet software.
Ten-Sided is an art piece commissioned by turbulence.org and both he and I are among the ten writers who will be blogging for the next three months as fictional characters with sketchy connections, part of a building story line, working out our places on the web.
So far the technology is pretty basic. RSS and Ruby. I’m really interested to see what happens, though. As we get more of the story pieced together, I’d like to see what kinds of neat ways we could offer for reading through it. We’ve only been going for a few days, but it’s really starting to come together and really I like some of the motifs the others are dropping out. (rPlanet is the work of Joel Watson, Phil Hagelberg, and Andre Arko.)

Much coolness; I’m glad rPlanet is coming in handy!
I also feel compelled to mention that it’s gone through some pretty serious changes since the version Francis is using, and it’s much cleaner code now. In particular the Atom-handling code is improved.

this might prove interesting. I’ll try getting some time and read it.
