For Now, Wink Turns into Actual Fully Closed (Sad) Eyelid #

by why in cult

Hoodwink’d is closed presently. I’m having some kind of a mod_ruby issue that is leaving hundreds of MySQL connections open. I hope to reopen soon.

A silly question: Does Ruby have built-in support for MySQL and other db’s or do you have to download modules?

Ben: I don’t think ruby does natively, but I could be wrong. On another note, seems like RedHanded has a comment spammer. Congrats.

So this would explain why code.whytheluckystiff.net isn’t responding, yes? I spent a fair chunk of non-billable hours yesterday blowing my mind with the Camping source, and since I forgot to check out the latest (the bleeding edge helps chop up the brain into finer bits), now I’m doomed to muck around with 1.3. Oh, humanity!

maybe the red handed duck can help out

code.why… is on the move, there’s some dns adjustment going on. An answer soon.

So wit hoodwinkd down, I decided to check out franchise.d. But it’s not working! I can start up the server (after getting a warning about RAILS _CONNECTION_ADAPTERS already being defined), but navigating to localhost:3301 gives me an exception (on @user.login since @user is nil) and manually going to /dial/register or /dial/login just gives me a blank page.
