RedHanded

I'm Trying To Understand This Formation #

by why in cult

Is it Object -> (Object) / Module -> (Module) / Class -> (Class)? It’s the ri Class dance!

The third guy is our good friend, RedHanded blogger Babie. Good to see you!

Are they flying? Is it a chorus line? It’s a flying chorus line!

said on 13 Jun 2006 at 12:53

Look at that lamp down there in the lower right hand corner. They’ve managed to use Ruby to achieve levitation! Now Python isn’t the only one with a flying circus.

said on 13 Jun 2006 at 16:44

The first guy isn’t wearing a white t-shirt. Is this significant?

said on 13 Jun 2006 at 18:20

The first guy is taking all that “sexiest hacker alive” talk a bit too seriously ;-P

said on 13 Jun 2006 at 18:52

Is the second guy Matz?

said on 13 Jun 2006 at 19:12

Yes Yerry, that is indeed Matz. Levitating at least six feet in the air by the looks of it.

said on 13 Jun 2006 at 19:56

Isn’t the first guy you, _why?

said on 13 Jun 2006 at 21:13

This is probably sad, but for some reason I can’t help thinking of the Algorithm March from Pythagoras Switch.

said on 13 Jun 2006 at 22:07

Oops, I was outstripped by _why ;)

This pose is a funny and famous pose in Japan, that called ‘Boom’. This pose is expressed a mimicking air-plain flies, came from an Ascii Art on 2ch – a huge aggregate of BBSs, photogravure idol Shoko-tan spread this pose to Real world.

Yes! Just it. _why.

said on 14 Jun 2006 at 16:24

“Isnt the first guy you, _why?”

No, the first guy is The Hottest Hacker on Earth (according to Wired) and father of Rails.

Second / middle guy is Matz, father of Ruby.

Third guy, I have no idea.

said on 14 Jun 2006 at 19:34

3rd guy is the ex-Prime Minister of Canada, Right Honourable Jean Chretien!

I bet you’re embarrassed now. That SJIS art totally backfired and the alignment is all wack.

said on 15 Jun 2006 at 18:50

Zing: Actually, I thought that _Why’s SJIS art could easily be entitled: WARNING : Duck Typing Ahead!

SJIS art blows up RedHanded preview but good.

⊂二二二( ^ω^)二⊃

Why does the preview come out differently than the actual post, anyway? Originally I thought it was because it was doing the stuff in Javascleept, but then I realized no, it’s doing a roundtrip to the server. So it should just use RedCloth, yeah?

DHH is the only one who has the decency to look embarassed. Probably these sorts of shananigans happens regularly in Japan which may explain why ruby 2.0 will not appear ‘til 2007. stop mucking around and get to work ruby ubergurus

said on 16 Jun 2006 at 14:50

hang on. DHH and Babie both look mildly uncomfortable. Only Matz is enjoying himself. So maybe these seminars / workshops are nothing more than a front for Matz to add to his collection of photos of “People behaving foolishly and erratically.”

said on 18 Jun 2006 at 14:19

Hang on, hang on. sausagehead, don’t you read this blog? Can’t you tell? Ruby is nothing more than a front for people behaving foolishly and erratically.

Sneak some Ruby through the system: dance in the lobby water fountain tomorrow!

That is a fine backing that can code till they are blue in the face. In the case of the greatest programmer in the world we have photographic evidence.

said on 21 Jun 2006 at 18:48

Backing Singers that is (with a couple of triffic dance mooves thrown in for good measure).
