I’m pleased to announce you the first public release of emerald 0.1.
Emerald is an object oriented language with constraints and logic features, inspired from prolog, Oz, CSP and Hyper/J.
I started this as an hack since ruby is becoming less fun. It will not be as good as ruby, but please try it out while we wait for Rite.
This is alpha stuff, I wasn’t able to load it onto anything with an x86 processor. I had to pull out one of my old solid-state frying pans—but now I’m cooking.

Of course, I didn’t make such a language, it’s obvious that the message is a lie if you see the link. What is important is that I didn’t write this E-mail. Anyone can’t understand unless seeing Message-Id, or notice there is no period after signature of “matz”. Because fml converts the time zone into JST, I think the credibility goes up rather. Excellent quite.
If I remember right there was a false announce by my name before, I can’t find it.

We’re porting Rails to it right now, keep an eye out for FishingForEmeralds, it won’t be as good as Rails, but at least it scales!

It has it’s own system, called the Bony Framework. You can fill it out with the skin™ and flesh™ applications. In runs on an operating system that can move data upstream and downstream. Applications can be reproduced using “sexual” programming.

Anyway, you may find some “emerald” traces in the old messages for japanese ruby ml.
Not that I understand them, but I think matz may have been working on this for a decade. Maybe this is the reason it will be so much scalable, it has a great run-up.
