Now I invite you all to contribute. This is a serious movement. With repercussions and so on.

Whoa scary ruby cosplay. I may envision scary ruby cosplays in my dreams tonight. Why, would you be so kind as to wipe my brow when I wake up screaming?
Well, maybe I’m just not giving him a chance. Maybe, in my dreams, he’ll be cordial and abliging, and maybe, we’ll have a picnic with some delightful croissants. In that case, thank you for bringing scary ruby cosplay into my life.

Being from Mars and all, I’m not sure I know what a cosplay is, can one of you earthlings please explain?
I wouldn’t ask, except there are reprecussions and so on.

Short for costume play. Japanese in origin, I believe.

basically people dress up as manga/anime/games characters for example 1
and 2
I’m told that the people holding ruby talks at OSCON will massively dress up as Zelda characters. And bring Red Rupees for the audience.

Um, the WEBrick source code… who cleaned it up after the blood from the bear had dripped all over it? (Insert a pun on taint here.)
Awesome series. I was struck by awe. Didn’t see that coming.

Who’s the guy who’s not alike to the other crowders-in? He looks a bit like the Python guy who was trying to hide at our meeting with DHH . (He’s the only one whose head is scrunched between two other heads.)

Your submissions. Their absence is, I’m afraid, causing repercussions.

why… you should set up an oekaki.
It’s rather difficult to make graphic submissions here. Yes, we could do images offline, upload them to our webspace, and link them here. But that lacks a certain immediacy.
Here’s one of the better oekaki BBS scripts:
http://consoleninja.net/code/doekaki/
Even if you feel obligated to do your own thing in Ruby, it’ll be a handy reference for interfacing with the quirky java applets that rule the oekaki landscape.
