I won’t be going this year, because if I were to go I’d refuse on principle the USA ’s offer to fingerprint me on arrival and probably end up lying naked in a cold wet concrete cell with a light shining in my face 24 hours a day and no access to a lawyer or anyone in the outside world. Wheew … glad I managed to avoid that!
Might go to EuRuKo instead.

Oddly enough I was considering moving there (San Diego not the conference) this summer. I suppose that’s not really odd, but yeah.

Rob: I feel the same currently when thinking about visiting the USA . It really is a shame given how much I liked the country and the people there.

I’m thinking of starting a Ruby User Group here to build up steam for the October conference, maybe we can get started on nailing down celebrities (like yourself :) to some appearances in exchange for my services as a tour guide slave for the seedy side of our sunny city?
